Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB 29-Nov-2024
Elsaclaire is being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved.
Elsaclaire is a very sweet and clever cat. She is extremely playful, loves to explore the house and can leap very high into the air for her favorite feather on a wand toy. Elsaclaire was rescued from a feral cat colony when she was about six months old and socialized in a TCR foster home where she warmed up quickly to her foster family.
Elsa is well behaved, good natured and confident. She is fairly independent and likes to do her own thing. She will hang out with her foster family, usually at a bit of a distance, unless you have treats - Elsa LOVES treats – and she can be quite pushy about getting them! She also loves to playfully pounce on feet that are under a blanket! She is affectionate, purrs easily and loves to be petted. But she is not a fan of being picked up.
Elsa likes to follow her foster family upstairs at bedtime, hops on the bed for a treat and then leaves. In the morning she greets everyone with her fluffy tail up high in the air as she tries to rub up against the foster family dog. Sometimes she runs away when approached (a result of having lived outside) but most of the time she is fine. Elsa loves other cats (but can sometimes be a bit pushy) and is great with dogs.
Elsa will need a bit of time to transition to her new home but another friendly cat in the home will help her to adjust. Also, because of her background, we recommend no children.
Note: Elsa sometimes shows curiosity of the front door so her adopters will have to be mindful of not letting her run outside.
Elsaclaire is looking for her forever family.
