My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tilly is a 1yo female pit bull terrier who was rescued as a stray in Memphis. Friendly and well socialized. This young dog is very sweet and loving. Very active. High energy level outside, but settles down quickly in the house.  Loves other dogs but recommended for larger dogs because she’s too active for the small dogs. Not recommended for cats because she likes to chase them. Good with kids and recommended for kids 12 years and older due to her size and high energy level. Housebroken and crate trained. Good in the house, good house manners. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Loves to be with her people. Obedience training in progress, she knows sit, stay, off, down, leave it. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 65 pounds.  Awesome young pit bull terrier will make a wonderful companion (and jogging partner!) for an active family who loves the breed.

More about this rescue

We are an all-breed rescue comprised of volunteers all over Eastern United States who love dogs and want to help those that end up homeless through no fault of their own. Loyal and loving dogs turn up every day in Southern shelters, as owners turn them in or they’re found roaming the streets after being dumped. We evaluate each dog’s temperament and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. The dogs’ health is checked, and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and spayed or neutered. Then, we place them in loving foster homes until they find their very own family. Our goal is to meet the needs of each individual dog and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home.
