My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kodi – Your Furry Gentle Giant

Looking for a mellow, affectionate companion with just the right amount of playful energy? Kodi is an 8-year-old big, soft sweetheart who's ready to fill your home with quiet love and gentle purrs.

✨ About Kodi:

Age: 8 years

Temperament: Gentle, calm, and perfectly behaved

Fur: Extra soft and extra fluffy. Kodi is an exceptionally unique cat with a bright white spot on his chest and silver tips along his sides.

Personality: Quiet, loving, and loves being petted - and will let you know with a headbutt or a 1-paw tap. He'll stop by for a pet, but then leave you alone while you work and sleep.

Playstyle: Still enjoys chasing mouse toys and ribbons like a kitten. He will play by himself for a bit but really perks up with interaction with his owner.

Favorite Activity: Watching the neighbors and squirrels out of any window he can reach

Special Quirk: Doesn’t retract his claws, but is very gentle – he’s just passionate about making biscuits when he's happy!

🏡 Best Home Fit:

Should be the only cat in the home

Unsure about dogs – a slow introduction might work, but no guarantees

Best with older, respectful children who understand his calm nature

Kodi is the perfect companion for someone looking for a low-maintenance but incredibly affectionate friend. He’s laid-back, sweet, and full of love – all he needs now is a cozy forever home.

More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
