Barkley is a sweet, affectionate, and loyal boy who loves to be with his people and explore the outdoors. He is looking for a loving home where he can be the only pet. He is fully house trained and can be left alone for 8 hours at a time but has a history of separation anxiety and would do best having someone at home with him for the first few days at least. He is not crate trained, does well with free run of the house, and is non-destructive.
Barkley is very calm but gets excited around new people and jumps up, but he responds well to being pushed down. He is gentle with children but should be supervised. A fenced yard would be ideal as he is very independent outdoors and does not have reliable recall. He loves to go for walks/ jogs! He pulls at first on leash but settles in. On walks he is non-reactive and friendly when greeting other dogs.
He gets cozy and super snuggly on the couch and human bed, lets you give him lots of hugs and kisses (the perfect therapy after a long day)!
