Hi, I’m Kelly – a 15-month-old, 14lb cocker spaniel girl who’s basically a tiny fur ball of sweetness just waiting for the right family to help me shine! 🖤✨
You see, I came from a breeder in Georgia and I didn’t get to experience much of what life with a loving family is like. My mom came with me, but we’re looking for our own special homes now! 🏡
I’m pretty shy and skittish right now. Leashes scare me (I’ve never even walked on one!), and taking treats is a brand new concept plus getting so close to a human makes me a little nervous. But guess what? Each day in my foster home, I’m discovering that people can be pretty amazing! My foster mom is so patient with me, tossing treats my direction to help me build trust, and showing me that the leash means I get to go outside in the sunshine, which I LOVE! ☀️
What really helps me feel brave? Other dogs! I absolutely need a doggie sibling in my new home to show me the ropes and help me gain confidence. When I have furry friends to follow, I feel so much more secure! I’m great with people, including older dog-savvy kids, and I even sleep through the night cuddled up with my humans and foster siblings. 💕
I’m going to need a family with lots of time, patience, and love to give. I’m working on my house training skills and close to mastering it! 💪🏻 I will likely need a refresher when I move to a new home and a consistent potty schedule is key. I would like to develop my leash skills too so that walks are more fun. Squeaky toys? Oh my, they are a little jarring when they squeak at me but I know I can learn to be less scared with your help. Every day I’m becoming more comfortable and showing more of my sweet personality!
