Meet miss Ivy!
She is an bossy little lady with the most unique swirl pattern on her coat, and the cutest little face you'll ever gaze upon! She was found as a lonely little stray kitten trying to make it out there on her own. She definitely was born with a fire inside to survive, but enough love and purrs to spread around.
Ivy likes to play with anything on a string, and enjoys rolling around with the other foster kittens and giving some soft play-bites. But be warned - she's still deciding about belly rubs. Being a social eater, Ivy enjoys human company when she dines. She is a dry kibble connoisseur, and prefers that over wet food. Almost every time she gets a lot of pets she runs to her food bowl for a quick snack.
One of her quirky habits is actually her tail - she curls it up above her so it's basically touching her back, the tip of the tail usually resting by her head. We call it her piggly wiggly tail - it's very cute and unique to her.
Ivy's perfect day would involve spending most of the time with you, playing or cuddling or eating together. Then some of the time she would like to just hang out and watch from afar. She is loving, but independent and just needs that person or persons to bond with. Shy in the beginning, but warms up quick. She's more than deserving of a loving home - because she's got a lot of love to give!
Adoption fee for this cat includes FVRCP vaccine, FIV/FELV testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. We have a quick but thorough adoption process. We ask you to fill out an application and we will touch base with you by phone. If we feel you are a good fit for the animal you would like to adopt based upon your application, we will want to do a home visit and have you meet the pet. If everything checks out, we will ask that you sign an adoption contract and pay a donation - usually $75 for cats and $150 for dogs. This includes all vetting, spay/neuter, vaccines, etc.
Our contract allows us to come visit you and your new family member after the adoption to make sure everything is going well and your new pet is happy & healthy.

Good Karma Pet Rescue is a small network of foster homes in South Florida dedicated to providing dogs and cats in need with the love and help they need and deserve.
GK was started in 2011 by Stacey Chen, who decided that she could best provide for her foster animals by starting a rescue that aims for best care rather than high volume. We intend to stay as small as we need to be to ensure that every one of our foster animals is treated with the same care and respect we show our own furry family.
GK is based in Fort Lauderdale and is supported by wonderful, dedicated foster parents throughout the South Florida area. If you are interested in helping to save lives through volunteering, fostering, or adopting, please get in touch with us!
