My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Juniper may be small in size, but she has the biggest green eyes you’ve ever seen (especially when begging for treats). This one-year-old tuxedo beauty has three legs, but don’t let that fool you—she gets around just fine and loves to explore her surroundings at her own pace. Juniper’s favourite pastime is bird watching and she’ll spend hours perched by the window, chattering softly to the birds and squirrels outside. Because of that, she’s hoping for a forever home with lots of sunny windows where she can indulge her hobby to her heart’s content. Juniper enjoys a good brush session, but she’ll need a bit of encouragement to play and stay active. Once she’s engaged, her playful spirit shines through! Her secret weakness? Food! Wet cat food is Juniper’s absolute favourite, but she’s also a shameless beggar for people food (those big eyes are hard to resist!). The way to Juniper’s heart is definitely through her stomach! A little shy at first, especially with new people or loud environments, Juniper prefers gentle company and would rather you sit nearby than scoop her up as being picked up isn’t her favourite. But once she trusts you, she’ll reward your patience with quiet companionship and adorable curiosity. Juniper is good with other cats and would like another friendly cat in her new home. A quiet or calm environment, with someone who understands shy cats would be ideal for her.

Juniper came to us from a barn environment. When she arrived, it was clear that her leg had been badly damaged. Unfortunately, it was too damaged to be saved and was amputated. Being a tri-pod has not affected Juniper in any way and she does not need any special accommodations in her new forever home at last!

If you’re looking for a sweet, quirky little companion who will fill your home with gentle energy (and a few happy chirps at the window). If you are someone who doesn’t mind being lovingly begged for snacks, Juniper might just be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
