Sophia was hit by a car over 10 days ago. Her pelvis broken in 2 places and her femur was broken. She was in so much pain that she tried biting our vet twice. We didn’t know her that well and the vet was concerned about how she would do in rehab, which he expected to be long and HARD. Our vet urged us to consider EU. We basically flipped a coin on a HW test to help us decide. She’s HW- so she got the surgery.
After 10 days in hospital care, she did a complete 180 and became a staff favorite for her good nature and tail wags. Sophia is now at the rehab house our friend, triage nurse, and committed rehabber.
And LOOK AT HER NOW! What the vet prepared us for was going to be rough - slings, bad attitude, peeing and pooping all over herself because she couldn’t get up.
Sophia is giving us 100% with nothing but kisses, a great spirit, and willingness to do the work.
