Mercedes is a lot of spunk in a small package. This sassy girl is a lot of fun to play with and really enjoys playing with toys and chomping on treats. She also likes being around her canine friends. Mercedes will keep you on your toys and there will never be a dull moment with her around! She is very sweet and really loves getting pets and all of the attention from people. Mercedes has been let down by people in the past, but she is still open to receiving love and is ready to move on to her forever family!

The Chickasha Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter operated and funded by the City of Chickasha, Oklahoma. In addition to providing a safe environment for our adoptable animals we also are responsible for the enforcement of all animal related laws within the City of Chickasha and holding all stray animals that are located. In addition to these main roles, we also provide public Spay and neuter program with OkHumane, city pet licensing, and other educational services to our community.
We operate daily with a very limited staff supported by several amazing volunteers. We operate an active foster program and are always seeking to work with those in our community interested in assisting us in our mission.
