My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clozee
Did you know I was named after a famous singer/musician? Me neither! I have never heard her music, but my name does get one`s attention, doesn`t it? In late September, a Westfield Police Officer found me roaming around the Handel`s Ice Cream store. And that is how I came to live at the HSHC. I am not a very big cat, so he must have spotted the purple collar around my neck. That collar is a clue that I must have got separated from my owner, as I sure didn`t buy it for myself. Sadly, no one came looking for me, but I am way too positive-minded to let that bother me. All the HSHC staff and volunteers think I am a very friendly, charming little girl. I had a URI, which was treated, and I have now been spayed. Because I am such a loveable kitty, I moved to the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC) on November 6. It`s been fantastic! It`s like a kitty version of Disney World. I love the big tree and all the great hiding spots, as well as the sun that pours in through the front window, perfect for a nap. I am a very playful girl, and the wand toys are my favorite way to spend the day. I am only 1.5-years-old, with a long, happy life ahead of me. Wouldn`t you like to share it with me? 11-15-25

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
