My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rowan is the gentle observer of her litter, the one who prefers to take in the world quietly before diving in. She’s active and affectionate, but in her own easygoing way—never overwhelming, always thoughtful. While her siblings may rush forward, Rowan hangs back, watching with intelligent eyes, and then joins in when she’s ready.

She loves being held like a baby and will happily accept kisses, though always on her terms. As she settles into new surroundings, she blossoms, coming forward for more petting and affection with growing confidence. Rowan is social and friendly, good with people, and she has excellent house manners—no scratching furniture, no fuss.

Trips to the vet are no problem for her, and she’s playful without being wild. Balls, toy mice, and wand toys are her favorites, and she enjoys batting them around with quiet enthusiasm. Rowan’s affectionate nature, calm intelligence, and gentle spirit make her a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a cat who balances playfulness with serenity.

She may be the most reserved of her litter, but Rowan’s charm lies in her thoughtful affection and her ability to make every interaction feel special.

Additional adoption info

All of the cats and kittens adopted from St. Francis have been vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV, dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, spayed or neutered and microchipped. We do our best to ensure that the pet you adopt is healthy and happy.

We feel it is important for all potential adopters to meet and spend some time with the cat or kitten they would like adopt. Our trained volunteers will assist in helping adopters choose the cat that will fit in best with your household.

Go meet their pets

Because we are a foster rescue, we do not have a shelter or physical location. To meet our cats and kittens, please phone or email us to arrange a date and time meet them. You can also meet our cats at our Meet and Greet events.

Two Saturdays each month, St. Francis holds a Meet and Greet event from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the PetSmart store in Forest Lake, MN. Anyone wishing to meet our cats and kittens is invited to attend our Meet and Greet events. We have a quiet room where potential adopters and meet and socialize with any cats/kittens that they are interested in adopting.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Animal Rescue (SFAAR) is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming homeless, neglected, stray and otherwise unwanted cats and kittens. Until they are adopted, our rescued cats live in loving foster homes as part of the family while we learn about their personalities, behaviors and temperaments. Foster families work with their cats/kittens to teach them good manners, care for any medical problems, and address any behavior issues. This information helps our adoption counselors match the perfect pet for you and your family.
