My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Jess, but everyone calls me Stormi—my coat is a deep, stormy gray, just like a thundercloud. Don’t worry though, I’m not scary at all. I’m calm, affectionate, and very sweet.

I’m looking for a quiet, peaceful home where I can be the one and only pet. I don’t really enjoy sharing my space with other animals, and I’d much rather be the star of the household. In return, I promise to be a devoted companion and an excellent guardian of our home. My foster dad calls me a watchdog… but let’s be clear—I’m a CAT. Still, if I sense an intruder, I’ll bravely sound the alarm with my growls and barks to keep my human safe.

My day starts with some morning snuggles—quick, but very important. After a thorough patrol of the house, I enjoy my wet food (I like to save a little for later). Then it’s time to stretch, groom, and supervise my foster dad from my cat stand or his desk while he gets ready for work.

During the day, I love napping on my cat stand while watching rabbits and squirrels outside—it’s excellent entertainment. Sometimes I’ll curl up behind the couch near the radiator to stay cozy. In the evenings, I like to hang out and watch TV or keep my foster dad company while he works or plays games. Before bed, I always make my rounds to ensure everything is safe, then jump onto the bed for pets and snuggles.

I can be shy around new people at first and prefer to observe quietly until I decide if someone is a “good human.” Once I do, I’m happy to relax and hang out. If not, I’ll politely excuse myself to a quiet spot until the guests leave.

From my foster dad:
Jess is a very sweet, intelligent, and playful kitty who does things on her own timeline. It took her about two weeks to feel fully comfortable and explore when she first arrived. She would do best in a calm home as the only pet, though fish or animals in secure terrariums are fine.

If you’re looking for a loyal, observant, and affectionate companion who values peace and routine, Jess might just be your perfect match.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
