Fridge is a big boy who was found out at an on-ramp of Hwy 30. His fur was matted on his back so he had to be partly shaved. He's still getting over that but always wants chin scratches. Van Wert is a small rural community. The Van Wert County Humane Society has seen hard times in the past but since the Humane Society is under a new board, things have changed for the better and we work hard to care for and adopt the animals at the shelter. We have a small base of volunteers that will come and spend time with the animals at the shelter. We take donations of any sort, and the Humane Society is 501c3.
