My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Dolly (lovingly called Darling by her temp fosters in Hawaii) is a sweet young (7-8 month old) spayed female mixed breed from Hawaii. Typically we see hound, pointer, terrier mixes from this area. She weighs 33 lbs. She was a stray intake on the island, taken to the animal control holding facility. With her loving temperament she was picked up by our rescue partners and tagged for transfer to the mainland to find a forever home. Dolly plays wonderfully with other dogs of all types, and was curious but not aggressive meeting a cat. We expect she would do well with kids, as well. During her short stay in foster care she showed good manners and enjoyed her baths. She loves to play ball and excels at tossing them to herself to play but also loves to fetch! More info to come as we get to know her in foster care.

Foster Update : Dolly is a sweet girl who loves people and other dogs! She has plenty of active energy and also likes a good snuggle. She is crate and potty trained too. Dolly has been working on her leash manners and needs someone willing to work with her on that as well as other mouthy puppy behaviors. Breed experience is a huge plus as our gal has some nippy behaviors that need work. Since she is still nippy and mouthy and could knock young kids over, we are looking for an adult only household with time to train with firm leadership and balanced training. Someone who works fro. home and also has the time to invest in training with her would be great-- she's smart and motivated and will be your best buddy!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent visit with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
