Take the Pet Home
At 6–7 years young, Patches never imagined she’d be starting over — and honestly, neither did we. This beautiful little tortie girl came to the shelter as an owner surrender, but her story is one of love, not neglect.
Her previous owner loved her dearly. When he lost his home, Patches stayed right by his side — even living in his car with him. That’s how strong their bond was. Ultimately, he made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her because he wanted more stability and comfort for her than he could provide. It was an act of love, even though it wasn’t easy.
Now Patches is looking for that next chapter — a calm, patient, kind-hearted person to help guide her into her forever home. She may need a little time to settle in, but once she feels safe, her gentle, sweet nature shines through. She’s a sensitive girl who just wants to belong.
Patches gets along well with other kitties (she was surrendered with her housemate) and has spent time thriving in one of our foster homes. She’s proven she can adjust — now she just needs someone to give her the chance.
After everything she’s been through, we would love nothing more than to see this loyal little tortie back in a loving home where she can feel safe and cherished again.
If you'd like to meet this cat or think this cat would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt!
