Meet Nellie, our gentle senior girl with a heart full of love. One volunteer affectionately calls her a "sweet baby," and it's easy to see why. Nellie walks beautifully on leash, has a soft and gentle mouth, and melts into you for cuddles. She adores belly rubs and will happily lounge beside you just soaking up your company. Nellie does an excellent job keeping her kennel clean. If you're looking for a calm, loving companion who simply wants to be by your side, Nellie is your girl.
In playgroup, Nellie is a sassy old sausage. She came out very strong with a tolerant male dog. Eventually this little chunky monkey settled down, but introductions need to well-monitored for her, because that over-the-top behavior may not be well tolerated by some dogs. She needs a patient, confident and tolerant partner.
If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Nellie 264735."
Nellie is ready to go home today - she is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and is already spayed. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 57 Age: 7yrs 1mths 3wks
