Meet Jill — Your Future Best Friend in Training!
At just 7 months old, Jill is a bright-eyed Black Lab mix bursting with puppy energy and charm. This social butterfly is an extrovert through and through — she loves meeting new people, playing with other dogs, and soaking up attention from her favorite humans. Jill is eager to please and already showing signs that she’ll thrive in obedience training with a little consistency and a lot of love.

She’s great with other dogs and does well with kids, though her enthusiasm means she’d do best in a home without toddlers (for now — she’s working on her manners!). While she hasn’t met any cats yet, she doesn’t show signs of a strong prey drive.

Jill and her brother Jack were rescued alongside their pregnant mama in a rural county with no animal control. Despite her rough start, Jill’s sweet temperament shines through — she’s affectionate, resilient, and ready to find her forever family.

Adoption is a four part process.

Application: You will be required to submit general information along with personal and vet references.

Home visit: Potential adopters will receive a home visit by one of our members.

Meet -n- Greet: All family members (fur babies included) must meet the foster parent and pup they wish to adopt.

Here at Dirt Road Doggies Rescue, each adoption contribution is a flat rate per dog. We do not adjust this rate based on the "popularity" of a dog. We believe every dog is worthy of an owner that sees the value in them. Each adoption contribution is used to cover the expenses incurred for that dog and other dogs in our program.

Dirt Road Doggies Rescue, INC is located in the quaint town of Gillsville, in the foothills of the Georgia Mountains, just south of Gainesville. Our rescues are fostered in loving homes located in Hall, Jackson, and neighboring counties.

More about this rescue

We are a small canine rescue group located in Northeast Georgia that works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, fully vet, and re-home faithful dogs that have been tossed out of cars onto rural roads. We are a registered, 501c3 tax deductible Non Profit Rescue and we are licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture

All dogs in our program have been previously reported to animal control to ensure they were not lost pups who had a family diligently looking for them. We do not turn a dog away due to breed, health concerns, or age. It is our goal to keep these dogs out of animal shelters, thus saving their lives and providing more time to the dogs already in shelters to find their forever family.
