Ozzy is a 3-year-old Heeler/Cattle Dog mix who might just be the biggest “heeler” you’ve ever met—this hunky boy tips the scales at 106 lbs! He’s sweet, loving, and always ready to be part of the action, even if keeping up with the zoomies is a little tricky at the moment.
Despite his size, Ozzy’s still got that classic young-dog energy—he wants to run, jump, and play like the best of them. With the right heeler-savvy owner to help him shed a few pounds, Ozzy is going to thrive and shine as the amazing dog he’s meant to be.
He’s already neutered and ready to go—now all he needs is his forever family.

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
