This gentle girl, Leia, is around a year old and was found as a stray, unsure of the world around her. Despite her shy and cautious nature, Leia is incredibly loving and sweet. She’s made amazing progress in a short time, and with the right guidance, she’s blossoming into a loyal and affectionate companion.

Leia is crate trained, housebroken, and fully vetted—a wonderful foundation for her next chapter. While she’s still building her confidence, she’s come a long way and is ready to continue her journey with someone who can offer her patience, love, and understanding.

Leia would love to be your one and only—she’s seeking a home where she can thrive and feel safe, surrounded by calm and consistency. She’s looking for a foster or forever home where she can continue to grow and learn, and offer all her heart in return.

It is our policy to adopt dogs to homes in New Jersey, parts of New York and parts of Pennsylvania only. It is also our policy to have Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption Inc representatives make home visits for every adoption. If you live beyond our geographical boundaries we hope you will contact rescue organizations closer to your home.

Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no kill, all-volunteer organization. We are a small group of people dedicated to giving dogs and cats a second chance at life. Our mission is to find forever homes for so many of our area's unwanted, abandoned and/or neglected animals. We rescue our dogs and cats from the streets, local shelters and sometimes take in owner surrenders.
