Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mable!
At just 4 years old, Mable has already been through so much and handled it all with strength and love. She arrived at the shelter with her 8 newborn puppies, only a few days old, and spent the last 9 weeks selflessly nursing them into the healthy, happy pups they are today. Now that her job is done, it's finally her time to be the one taken care of.
We're not sure of her breed mix, she might be a little bit of everything, but what we do know is she's 100% heart. Mable walks beautifully on leash and appreciates the calm things in life. She hasn't shown much interest in making dog friends, and after raising 8 babies in a shelter, who could blame her? What she needs now is a peaceful home, a cozy bed, and someone to show her the love she so freely gave to her puppies.
Come meet this incredible mama in Tinton Falls, NJ, and give her the forever home she's earned ten times over.

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
