Wilbur is a tiny dog with a very big heart and an even bigger opinion about “his” person. This sweet, spicy Chihuahua mix is the definition of a Velcro pup – his favorite place on earth is pressed up against you on the couch or curled into your lap like he’s trying to merge molecules. He’s currently being fostered with his sister Edna and the two of them make a very funny little duo: she’s the quiet observer, and he’s the emotionally honest one who will absolutely tell you how he feels about something.
Wilbur is working hard on his confidence and has a whole support squad (vet + trainer + foster) helping him manage his anxiety and reactivity. Inside the home, he loves his crate, puzzle feeders, sniffy games, and any excuse to earn snacks and praise. Outside, he’ll need an adopter who’s patient, experienced with sensitive dogs, and willing to continue the training and management plan already in place. In the right home – ideally calmer and less crowded than a Manhattan sidewalk at rush hour – Wilbur will be someone’s deeply devoted shadow and comic relief, all rolled into a 10-pound package.
