My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet the “August Crew” — Ozzy, Stella, Maxx, Bella & Shadow!

Born: August 1, 2025

These kittens are full of personality, affection, and purrs so infectious they’ll melt your heart! Each one is playful, loving, and perfectly socialized with other cats. They adore chasing toys, climbing cat trees, and snuggling up after a long day of fun.
All would thrive in homes filled with love, companionship, and playtime.

🩶 Bella

A sweet and curious tabby girl who loves exploring tunnels, climbing high, and playing with her favorite toys. Bella is affectionate and gentle, with a playful spark that keeps her foster family smiling. She’s bonded with her foster brother BJ, and together they make an adorable pair.

💛 Maxx

This tiny tabby boy may be small, but he’s brave, playful, and full of confidence! Maxx loves climbing the cat tree, joining playtime with the other kittens, and showing off his adventurous side. When he’s ready to rest, he melts into cuddles and purrs. Maxx is bonded with his foster sister PJ, and the two are inseparable.

🤍 Stella

A petite, affectionate tabby with a heart full of love! Stella enjoys lounging in your lap and snuggling up at bedtime, though she’s just as playful when the toys come out. She and her brother Ozzy share a special bond and would love to be adopted together.

💙 Ozzy

A stunning Siamese mix with bright blue eyes and dark-tipped ears and tail, Ozzy is a curious, affectionate boy who loves to be part of everything you do — whether you’re working, cleaning, or relaxing. He’s playful, social, and happiest when he’s romping with his siblings. Ozzy is bonded with his sister Stella, and the two hope to find a forever home together.

🖤 Shadow

The confident, outgoing black tabby girl of the group! Shadow is the only one without white socks, but she makes up for it with her big personality and endless charm. She loves to play, chase toys, and snuggle close at night. Shadow is friendly, fearless, and full of love, and she’d also be happy finding a forever home with her foster sister AJ.

The kittens haven’t met dogs yet, but their friendly, adaptable personalities suggest they’ll do great with gentle introductions. They’re playful, loving, and ready to fill their forever homes with joy, laughter, and the sweetest purrs.

More about this rescue

🐾 Our Mission at Billy the Kidden Rescue 🐾

Billy the Kidden Rescue is a VDACS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2014 and supported by a network of over 60 active foster homes across Hampton Roads.

Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce the feral cat population in our community by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens—transforming them into loving, adoptable pets and placing them in safe, forever homes.

💙 Our Heart is in TNR
We are proud advocates of TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return)—the humane, effective method of managing community cats. Through this program, feral cats are:

✔️ Trapped
✔️ Neutered or Spayed
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Ear-Tipped (as a universal sign they've been fixed)
✔️ Returned to live safely in their outdoor colonies without contributing to overpopulation.

We are actively working to promote legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads.

🐱 Feral Kitten Socialization
Our feral kitten socialization program is one of a kind—with a 90% success rate in helping feral-born kittens become affectionate, in-home pets. Through experienced fostering, patience, and love, these kittens learn to trust, play, and thrive indoors.

💪 Get Involved!
We’re always looking for passionate animal lovers to join our team. Help us make a difference by becoming a:
