My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Fluffy was brought in by her previous owner on October 9, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
When Fluffy first came into our care, she was fearful and unsure - overwhelmed by all the changes around her. But everything started to shift once she settled into her foster home. With time and patience, Fluffy has truly begun to blossom. This pretty little lady loves gentle pets, cozy spots to curl up and calm companionship. She enjoys exploring new spaces and has been a reassuring friend for her brother Baddy (AID 969587). The two share a strong bond that brings out the best in each other and for that reason, they are looking for a home together! Fluffy will need a patient, understanding adopter who can give her a confined space and time to settle in at her own pace. But once she feels secure, she'll reward you with affectionate nudges and sweet companionship. Fluffy has previously lived with a dog and may do well with a calm, respectful canine friend after slow introductions. Because of her sensitive nature, she would do best in a home without young children (under 6). If you're looking to welcome a loving pair into your home, Fluffy and Baddy would be thrilled to start their next chapter with you!

At SDHS:
Fluffy has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home!

Shy/Fearful Cat: Baddy and Fluffy require a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
