My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Albus is a 4.5 year old neutered male Bernese Mountain Dog. He is a small boy at about 75#. He was raised with other dogs and children. He was a regular at doggy daycare. He is crate trained, housebroken, and walks nicely on leash on his harness. Albus is shy and takes a while to warm up to new people. Albus would do best in a quieter home with calm older children.

Additional adoption info

Fortunately there aren't a lot of Bernese in WA state needing new homes so we maintain a waiting list of prescreened and approved potential adopters. To get placed on the waiting list please email a request for an adoption packet to be snail mailed to you.
Each dog is carefully evaluated and matched up with the home that best suits both dog and adopter. Often dogs that come to us have a checkered history and may have behavioral or health problems. Adoption fees vary

Go meet their pets

We are fortunate in that we only place a few dogs each year. Contact the Rescue Coordinator to see if we currently have any dogs available for adoption.

More about this rescue

The Bernese Mountain Dog Rescue and Placement program is an all-volunteer, nonprofit referral organization that is dedicated to placing dogs in need of rehoming into suitable homes. None of its officers or representatives receives any payment for their services. Our organization incurs many costs in order to provide this service. A donation will be requested of new owners when a dog is placed with them to help fund this project
