My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ash!
Ash is a 3-year-old boy who has overcome the odds and is ready for his forever home. Once overlooked on the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter, he is now thriving in foster care and showing what a wonderful companion he can be. Ash is fully potty trained, crate trained, and affectionate. He gets along well with other dogs and has learned to love treats. He enjoys spending time with his people and settles easily, making him a great fit for a family looking for a dog with manners and love to give. Ash has put his difficult past behind him and is ready to move forward with someone who will give him the stability and kindness he deserves. More about this rescue

Tucked away in the wide-open spaces of Northern Nevada, Grandma’s Barn Rescue & Sanctuary is a safe and loving refuge for animals in need. We provide care and shelter to horses, donkeys, and dogs, and dream of expanding our rescue to welcome cows, goats, and other farm animals in the near future.

Our name is inspired by our beloved great-grandmother, who at 99 years old continues to share her deep love for animals. Grandma’s compassion is the heart of our mission—to give every animal a second chance at life, whether through permanent sanctuary, foster care, or adoption into a forever home.

At Grandma’s Barn, we believe that every animal deserves to feel safe, valued, and loved. Whether you’re looking to adopt, foster, support, or simply follow along, we’re so glad you're here. Welcome to the barn—where love lives, and every animal matters.
