My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, friend! Are you looking for a sweet, talented buddy to...
• ...tag along with you on walks and adventures?
• ...teach lots of tricks, and maybe bring to classes?
• ...enjoy a good snuggle session with?
• ...generally brighten up your life?
If so, I might just be your guy! My name is Claude and I`m a very good and special boy. I can be shy at first, but with time, snacks, and reassurance, I warm up like a dream. In addition to being a total sweetheart, I am also super smart! I already know `sit,` `down,` and `paw,` and I would love to learn more. I`m just a young lad and have energy to spare, so I will need a home that can give me plenty of playtime and activity, as well as gentle guidance while I figure out how to navigate this big and scary world. Since I`m still working on my manners and my confidence, I would do best as an only pet in a home without kids. If you think I might be just what you`re looking for, come on down to the shelter and see me today!

This pet is part of our Foster-to-Adopt program. You will meet this pet more than once before entering into a 3-week trial placement in your home. You will be matched with a behavior expert to help you and your pet through any bumps in the road during the trial placement. When all parties agree it is a match, we finalize the adoption!
