My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read this post in its entirety. Please acknowledge that you have done so. Your response and inquiry serve as your preliminary application. Please provide requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than "I want a dog, live in a house, and will love him/her".

Meet Morrie, also known as Buddy —a super senior weighing in at 9.5 pounds. The owner has recently passed away, and medical records can not be found. Morrie is a sweet boy who gets on well with his foster dog mates. Life has been a bit upside-down for him, and he has a bit of anxiety that we can attribute to losing all he has known for most of his life. His vitals appear good; he is alert, with a good appetite. He definitely enjoyed a much-needed grooming. Whatever family or friend the deceased had was unable or unwilling to care for him and called a local veterinarian for direction; otherwise, he was going to be sent sailing. This senior is seeking a soft landing with a family willing to love and provide for him for the rest of his days. There is no fee for sweet Morrie, but a donation is welcome. He has been wormed and given a 5-way vaccine. Will you be the family to spend Tuesday through Tuesday with Morrie?

Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. Please prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a fee for placement to offset medical and care. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response, as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding. Raleigh's Rescue Advocacy. *DNA testing is not performed, and we can only give you an assumed breed or breed mix.

More about this rescue

I am and have been an active guardian advocate for dogs here in Josephine County, Oregon. . The animals under my charge often come from owners who are deceased, entering assisted living, or for some reason have met with a life event that requires placement of the pet.
