Oatmeal, born in October 2022, is a sweet cat who deserves a wonderful home and family that will care for him. He's recently had several teeth extracted so for some time into the future, he'll need to eat only wet food. Once his mouth is feeling better, he might want to nosh on dry food, or he may wish to stick with good quality wet food. Besides ensuring he is being fed the right kind of food, monitoring his dental health will also be important, which must include getting his teeth cleaned as recommended by a veterinarian. (Home Fur Good runs a dental clinic with the goal of providing quality dental cleanings at a reasonable rate. Dental cleanings, which include removal of plaque and tartar, and polishing of teeth, are a preventative measure against the formation of periodontal disease, which can lead to other health issues.) Oatmeal was surrendered to us along with his brother, Mr. Pepper, but they are not bonded. As he's been around another cat, he might get along with one already in a home, as long as there is a slow introduction, but Oatmeal is declawed on his front paws so any home he goes into that has another animal, it must be where the other animal is calm. Oatmeal, at only 3 years of age, has been thru a lot already - declawing, several bad teeth, surgery to remove those teeth, surrender to a shelter. It's time for him enjoy a healthy life full of love and play. Please consider giving him, or his brother, the life they deserve. Oatmeal's adoption fee of $100 includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FELV, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
