If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Big Boy (86lbs) found me when I was returning from an outing with my other 3 dogs. He walked up to my driveway, and was chased away by my 50lb basset hound. I caught up to him with my car, and he allowed me to take him without showing aggression.
Very loving, loyal, and playful dog. Found recently, not trained. But he is learning a few basics while I'm fostering him (sit, stay, etc).
Big Boy is very shy around new dogs, but is playful once acquainted - so long as he's not bullied. He's gone to the dog park a few times, and goes walking twice a day. I can tell he wants to be mischievous, but he stays busy so he has not had the chance.
He can be rough when playing with other dogs, and possessive/protective of his human around other dogs/humans. He does not get along with cats, unfortunately.
He would be best matched with someone with a lot of time for him, and who has had big dogs before, or currently.
