Brutuss story began when he was found as a stray puppy near a Pizza Hut in Socorro, TX. He was taken in by a caring family with four other dogs and immediately showed what an amazing companion he could be.<br/><br/>Brutus is very friendly with people, house trained, and kennel trained. He gets along well with other dogs, shows potential with cats, and has a playful, affectionate personality. Hes highly trainable, already knowing commands like sit, stay, fetch, and drop it, and he loves a good game of fetch!<br/><br/>This smart boy also enjoys car rides and is a perfect copilot, though hes a little wary of vacuums. Despite having spent much of his life in shelters, Brutus is full of love, energy, and potential. He still has his whole life ahead of him and is ready to find a forever home where he can shine.<br/><br/>Brutus Maximus is the kind of dog who will fill your home with joy, playfulness, and unconditional love.

Meet the Pet
We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

Sign Adoption Contract
Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
