Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Courtesy Post (Woody is not currently with PawSafe, email for owner's contact info). Located in Brookfield, CT.
Woody is an energetic and lovable seven year old dog. He is a 57lb Australian Cattle/Shepherd/Collie mix. He loves exploring outside, hiking, and walking, but also laying on the couch watching TV. He enjoys being in the room with his family members. We are looking for a new home for him as we have a toddler, and Woody needs the peace of a home without children. Woody would be better with older kids, and smaller dogs, or no other pets. Woody will let you know if someone is passing by/entering the house, or an Amazon driver is pulling in.
Woody is completely house trained, and knows commands such as sit, lay down, paw, and off. He can also catch snow balls and loves playing in the snow! He can be left alone at home for someone who works outside the home with a good walk before and after work, but of course the more activity, the better.
Woody loves being walked, but is best walked on streets with sidewalks, or in nature. Roads without sidewalks and proximity to cars can make him want to lunge and jump out at cars. Thunderstorms and fireworks cause him stress, and he usually will want to hide in a safe place in the home, or be by your side. We are hoping to find the perfect home for him to live the rest of his adult life, enjoying a family who can snuggle him and keep him active.
Woody can be met and adopted straight from his owner's home. Please email for contact information.

More about this rescue
We work very closely with rescues in southern states to find new homes for dogs and puppies who deserve a family despite their state of origin.
Most of the puppies in our care come from over-crowded shelters in states with extreme over population and high kill rates. Our main goal is to place orphaned and unwanted animals into loving permanent homes.
