Meet Willie! 🤍
Willie is a beautiful 1-year-old Maltese–Shih Tzu mix weighing 12.4 lbs.
This handsome little guy is lively yet gentle, with a heart full of sweetness. He loves spending time with his furry friends, playing with toys, and going for walks to explore the yard. He REALLY loves to play with other dogs. If he had it his way, he would have a house with 15 dogs.
Willie is still building trust with people and will not come to you at first, so he’ll thrive in a home with another confident dog to show him the ropes. He also will do best in a calm home with no men. A securely fenced yard is a must—both for his safety and to give him space to play and continue his potty training. He’s doing wonderfully using the fenced yard for bathroom breaks, though like any young pup, he may have an occasional accident as he transitions to a new routine.
Willie would do best with a patient and compassionate person, couple, or family with no kids who can offer him the time and reassurance he needs to blossom. He will get defensive if cornered.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $150.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $350.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
