My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rumi!

This girl has a heart of gold and the energy to match! Rumi is a playful little whirlwind who loves to leap through the air, fling her toys around like they owe her money, and wrestle her siblings like she’s training for a Kitten Wrestling Championship.

After all that action? She’s all about that post-battle nap life—curled up in a cozy spot, recharging for her next big adventure.

Rumi may look sweet, but don’t be fooled—when the toys come out, she transforms into a K-pop demon hunter with paws of fury and a killer stage presence. (We’re pretty sure she’s the leader of her litter’s dance line, too.)

If you`re looking for a kitten who brings energy, fun, and just the right amount of chaos—with plenty of cuddles in between—Rumi is ready to debut in your home!

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
