Meet Anthony 🤍
Anthony’s journey hasn’t been easy, but his heart is still wide open.
Anthony came to us from Korea after being rescued from an illegal slaughterhouse, where he spent his life confined to a small crate with no real experience of love, freedom, or what it means to be part of a family. After arriving in the U.S., Anthony was adopted, but unfortunately returned after about two months due to continued peeing in his crate.
At this time, we believe this behavior is behavioral, not medical (as we have ruled these issues out)—a direct result of a lifetime spent crated and never truly living in a home environment. For Anthony, a crate doesn’t feel like a “safe space”; it reminds him of everything he’s known before rescue.
Anthony is a sweet, gentle boy who gets along well with everyone and would thrive in a home with:
-Another dog to help show him the ropes
Someone who is home more often than not
-A patient, understanding family willing to give him time to decompress and learn what life inside a home really means
-After surviving a life with no human attention or affection, it’s no surprise that -Anthony needs time to adjust. What is amazing is how kind and trusting he remains despite it all.
Anthony deserves a family who understands that healing takes time—and who is ready to give him the love, patience, and stability he has waited his entire life for. 🖤
