My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What happens when a big ole handsome Huskie walks into Muttville? We can tell you: Swooning, sniffing and a lot of gawking. Beastie Boy, with his blue and green eyes, is a stunner for sure, and lucky for you, he’s also a lovely gent ready for a forever home. Starting a new life unchained and living indoors has been an adventure for this energetic boy and he’s navigating it with good manners, confidence, and growing gratitude. He mingles well with big and small dogs, and appreciates the attention and affection of gentle humans. If you long to bond with a furry pal of substantial size and intelligence, Beastie is your boy.

Here's some notes from his foster:

Beastie Boy has been an absolute joy to foster these past few weeks. He is gentle, sweet, and loves to be near his people. He loves to go for walks and sleeps through the night on his dog bed next to us or on his favorite spot on the rug. He is very food motivated and loves to chew on his bones. He’s potty trained, great in the car (but does require a lift into the car), and has recently learned how to go up and down the stairs!

He’s very spry for his age, but is also happy to lounge near his people. For the most part he’s very quiet, but will let out an occasional husky bark when he’s excited to go for a walk or dinner is on its way! He’s great with medium to large dogs and older children, but from what I’ve seen doesn’t understand the concept of little dogs (thinks they’re toys and wants to gently pick them up) so would need to be properly introduced to a small dog in the home. Despite coming from a rough beginning, this gentle loving boy would make an incredible addition to any family.
