My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Adrian & Paulie!

Just like their Rocky namesakes, Paulie and Adrian have been through a lot but have come out stronger—together. These two shy sweethearts found comfort and courage in each other while in foster care and are now ready to take on their next big challenge: finding a forever home.

Adrian is the graceful golden tabby with mesmerizing green eyes and a weakness for ear scratches and Churu treats. Paulie’s the gentle, loyal type—he just needs a little patience to show his tender heart.

Adrian & Paulie enjoy the company of other cats and have tolerated respectful laid-back dogs.

They’re pros at napping, masters of sunbathing, and champions of cozy companionship. With time, love, and a calm home, this duo will show you that every great love story takes patience, trust, and a whole lot of heart.

Paulie and Adrian would thrive in an adult home with a calm, chill vibe where they can feel safe and settle in at their own pace.

Adrian and Paulie are currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting them, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
