All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required.
Diva's mom passed away from brain cancer. Her 'aunt' took over her care. and eventually it became too much for her too.
Diva is a happy little dancer! this girl, like most littles, is scared of loud noises and will seek refuge under the bed, or in her crate. She gets a bit nervous with a lot of activity/commotion, and will do best in a more sedate, quiet home.
so, no party animals, please!
Diva does not do well on long car-rides
She has been well loved and cared for, so neglect is not an issue. She was, however allowed to live her whole life intact. We are lucky she did not develop life threatening pyometra.
She is now spayed and had a much needed dental.
She is a needy little girl. She wants to be in your company. AT ALL TIMES!
She is used to being hand-fed... so....

Immediately upon receipt of your application, an auto-response email is sent. If you didn't get it, check SPAM. VET RECORDS ARE REQUIRED.
Home Check
You must send VET RECORDS. Home visits are required for puppies and first time pet owners
Meet the Pet
The whole family, including current pets must attend any Meet & Greet.
Sign Adoption Contract
All adoptions require a contract. You must promise to never rehome the pet. This is a lifetime commitment
