My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

12/8/25 Still available!

11/25/25 Trager is the last available pup of his litter!

He is about 4 months old, will be medium size once grown, likely 35-45 lbs. We were told that mom is Border Collie/Mini Aussie mix and dad is Beagle mix.

Trager does not seem to be high energy even with that breed combo! He’s pretty chill. He does not seem to show any herding tendencies either.

He is smart, friendly pup. He is doing well with off leash training. Trager is working on house training. He enjoys walks with his foster dad and playing with his foster brother. Sometimes he goes to work with his foster mom (a therapist) and he’s such a good boy with the patients!

He is good with other dogs, cats, and kids.

More about this rescue

Adopt-A-Stray was founded in Jan. 2010, by Kelley Prichard. Since then, it has grown to include a few wonderful volunteers who work very hard to help ensure that our pets are place in loving, forever homes. We are based in Alexander, AR, but we list all of our available pets in the northeast. We work with several different transporters to get our babies to their new homes in the northeast once they are adopted. The transporter we use most often Pack Leaders (www.plrdogtransport.com). All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations before they leave. Every pet is seen by our vet prior to transport. If you see a pet listed that interests you, please be sure to read the description thoroughly and inquire to the email address listed. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!
