My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey's story almost ended before it began. She was surrendered by her owner and rescued within moments of being euthanized. Now safe with Grandma's Barn Rescue & Sanctuary, Honey is showing just how sweet and easy-going she truly is.

This calm girl enjoys simple pleasures - a comfy bed, a soft voice, and quiet companionship. She tested well with other dogs at the shelter, but in her foster home she's thriving as the only dog and clearly loves being the center of attention.

Honey would be happiest in a relaxed home where she can be someone's cherished companion and finally have the stability she deserves. She's gentle, low-energy, and full of quiet affection - the kind of dog who will simply melt into your heart.

More about this rescue

Tucked away in the wide-open spaces of Northern Nevada, Grandma’s Barn Rescue & Sanctuary is a safe and loving refuge for animals in need. We provide care and shelter to horses, donkeys, and dogs, and dream of expanding our rescue to welcome cows, goats, and other farm animals in the near future.

Our name is inspired by our beloved great-grandmother, who at 99 years old continues to share her deep love for animals. Grandma’s compassion is the heart of our mission—to give every animal a second chance at life, whether through permanent sanctuary, foster care, or adoption into a forever home.

At Grandma’s Barn, we believe that every animal deserves to feel safe, valued, and loved. Whether you’re looking to adopt, foster, support, or simply follow along, we’re so glad you're here. Welcome to the barn—where love lives, and every animal matters.
