My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chris is a handsome 12-year-old gray-and-white gentleman with a thoughtful expression and a gentle heart. He returned to HART when his previous owner experienced health issues and could no longer care for him. Despite the changes in his life, Chris has remained a sweet, sensitive boy who truly loves companionship.

Curious and observant, Chris enjoys quietly watching the world around him. He finds the greatest comfort in the company of other cats and is often curled up beside a feline friend, soaking in that reassuring connection. He absolutely adores other cats and thrives when he has a buddy to bond with.

Chris shares a special bond with Fluffy, who is also in Room 5, and the two rely on one another for comfort and confidence. Because of their close connection, they must be adopted together into a patient, experienced home that understands the importance of allowing cats time to adjust and settle in at their own pace.

When he’s feeling playful, Chris enjoys batting at toys — either alongside another cat or happily entertaining himself. He can be nervous about being picked up and prefers that his boundaries be respected, but he is affectionate and loving when approached gently. When feeling unsure or overstimulated, he may pace in small leftward circles, a behavior believed to be neurological, but it does not stop him from enjoying life, companionship, and play.

Chris and Fluffy will do best in a calm, understanding home where they can continue to build trust and feel secure together.

Chris is a part of our Shy Angels Socialization Program, and will require a meeting with a Shy Angels team member for final approval of adoption.
