My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

0925111 -  Sweet Senior Alert: Juji is Ready for Adoption!

Our foster dog Juji is the definition of a gentle soul with a heart full of love. This gorgeous girl is about 8 years old and has that classic lab personality — easygoing, friendly, and always ready to make a new best friend.

Juji loves everyone she meets — humans, dogs, and even cats! She enjoys a good walk or a short hike, still gets the zoomies every now and then, and adores being part of whatever’s going on.

Juji came to us after one of her owners passed away, and the family could no longer afford to care for their three large dogs. It’s clear she was loved — maybe a little too much at the dinner table — because she’s currently working on shedding a few pounds. We’ve done all the vet checks (thyroid, blood sugar, bloodwork, even Cushing’s), and everything looks pretty good. Turns out, Juji’s just been spoiled with too many snacks! Now she’s on a healthy diet and already starting to feel lighter and more energetic.

If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow companion who still has a little spunk left in her paws, Juji could be your girl. She’ll fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags. To adopt Juji film out an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions!

More about this rescue

Sloppy Kisses Animal Rescue is a volunteer-based organization that was founded in 2018 by a group of animal advocates in Colorado. It was formed to rescue as many stray and homeless animals as possible by partnering with shelters in areas that are inundated with stray and relinquished animals. Sloppy Kisses Animal Rescue works to transport the animals to Colorado, fosters them in temporary homes, provides for their medical needs, brings them up to date on vaccinations, spay/neuters them if they aren’t already, and adopts them to permanent homes. This is accomplished through working with a network of volunteers, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, animal trainers, and donations!

We also work with our local community to provide assistance with re-homing pets and providing resources such as behavioral and medial to people who are considering surrendering their pet in an effort to keep pets in their homes and out of the shelter system.
