My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wilma is here to make your heart smile. She is a gentle soul who loves to make new friends. Her foster mom has been helping her with a few skills to make life easier for her future family: leash walking, crate training, and house manners. Thankfully, Wilma already had a headstart and is eager to please. This sweetheart is happy to be involved in whatever you are doing, whether that's playing in the yard or taking a nap on the couch. She just loves her people. Could she be your new sidekick?

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
