I came across Blu the cat while stationed at Fort Bliss. One of the soldiers had been keeping him in their barracks room, but as pets aren’t allowed in the barracks, I stepped in to foster him. From the start, Blu’s personality really stood out—he’s playful, affectionate, and easygoing.
He’s fully house trained, using a litter box without issue, and has a surprisingly fun habit of playing fetch like a dog. Most of the time, he’s laid back and enjoys relaxing, but he’ll happily engage when you bring out his toys. His mix of affection and independence makes him a very easy companion to have around.
The only reason I’m looking to rehome Blu is because I travel often, and he deserves more consistency and attention than I can give at this point in my life. If I were planning to stay settled in El Paso long term, I’d have no doubt about keeping him—he’s truly that great of a cat. I’d love for him to find a quiet, loving home where he’ll be cared for and appreciated. 10/10 cat!
