Meet Mac - a professional biscuit maker who is currently looking for a home where he can be your private chef!
Mac is a silver-smoke tabby with golden eyes that practically glow when he's mid-air. This boy is a certified athlete—watch him leap, twist, and somersault through the air chasing his beloved butterfly wand.
He’s shy at first, but once he trusts you, he’s a total snugglebug who insists on burrowing under blankets like a tiny, purring burrito. If you're a "cozy at bedtime" kind of person, Mac is your guy.
Mac is 2-years-old, neutered, up to date on his shots, and ready to settle into a calm, loving home. He has blossomed in foster care, and now he's ready for a forever family who will let him shine—preferably one with patience, understanding, and a healthy supply of squeeze-up treats (he asked us to emphasize that part).
What are you waiting for? Mac is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
