Meet Amber! 🧡

Amber is a gorgeous 2-year-old American Pit Bull who’s ready to start her next chapter. She came into rescue pregnant, raised her puppies with love, and watched them all head off to their forever homes — now it’s finally her turn!

Amber has been fully vetted and is dog-friendly. We’re not sure about cats yet, but we’re happy to do a cat test for anyone interested. She’s wonderful with kids and people, and she absolutely adores attention. Amber would love a home where she can be the center of someone’s world — playing when she wants, lounging on the couch when she’s tired, and soaking up all the love she’s missed out on.

She’s also a bit of a hot mess express when it comes to photos — not the most photogenic girl, but she makes up for it with her silly, lovable personality! We’ll be working on getting some better pictures of her soon. 😄

After being used for breeding in her past life, Amber truly deserves the best life from here on out.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Adoption applications are the first step to meeting a dog in our rescue. You must be approved prior to meeting a dog.

2.
Approve Application

Our rescue reviews the application for approval to adopt from our rescue.

3.
Interview

Our rescue reaches out to discuss any questions on the application and explain the process.

4.
Meet the Pet

We will set up a meet and greet with the dog at this point.

5.
Home Check

If the meet and greet goes well, a home check is done either virtually or in person.

6.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is paid at this point. Transport fee of up to $200 applies to areas if more than a 2-hour drive dependent on the distance.

7.
Sign Adoption Contract

The adoption contract is signed once the fee is paid and then you take the dog home.

Journey's Legacy is a small rescue in Cleveland, TN. We save dogs from the local shelter, off the streets, and occasionally owner surrenders if there is room or an urgent need. We have dogs in foster homes, boarding facilities, and the ranch. We specialize in medium to large breed dogs. We are working hard to get laws to change to require pet owners to spay and neuter their pets to stop the overpopulation of animals.
