My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frogger leapt into our lives and is hoping to hop into yours next. This gentle, shy, and passive boy was found as an injured, stray kitten in Suisun City by our friends at Rocket Cat Rescue and named by the staff at Happy Tails Animal Hospital in Vacaville.
He has spent the last few months learning how to be a strong, confident, and capable boy with our director and has made lots of cat friends along the way. He is a very passive cat who needs a confident role model who will show him that your family is safe. We are seeking a home that is ok with a cat who is handshy (bad depth perception due to his eye), has or will adopt him with a cat friend, and will keep him 100% indoor. He is not a “kid” cat and prefers large, low energy dogs to small, bouncy terriers. Polydactyl cats need regular nail trims because they cannot maintain their nails as well due to the abnormal placement of some digits. He LOVES face rubs and is ok being held close like a baby. He is a tree dwelling kitty and prefers to observe the world from up high before joining in the fun.

Our Hero Academy students earn a cape after completing basic litter box, nail trimming, scratching post, and carrier training with our expert volunteers. Fosters are microchipped, combo tested for FIV/FELV, spayed/neutered, treated for fleas/parasites, and receive age/wellness appropriate vaccines. We lovingly pack a Welcome Home Hero gift bag with their favorite toys, treats, a comic to read with them, and a blanket that helps them feel safe anywhere they go. Go meet their pets

We provide private in home fostering and do not allow visitors at our homes with an approved application, interview, and confirmed appointment made by the CEO.

We partner with our local, family owned businesses and events, but a majority of our adoptions are done from the comfort of your home.

More about this rescue

We work hard to educate the community about why spaying and neutering is important. We only take cats that are non adoptable in shelters which includes feral, abused, abandoned, and traumatized cats and kittens. We heal them inside and out using positive reinforcement and force free techniques. Last, we provide assistance to low income families to help them fix their pets, provide food to feral cat colony managers, and sponsor adoption fees for those who need a pet and can afford their care but not an additional fee.
