My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nellie – Queen of the Cozy Single Kitty Life

Nellie is an adult brown tabby with big, soulful green eyes and a gentle, charming spirit. She came to the Catfe from a trailer park in Algonac and has since blossomed into a sweet, affectionate companion in her foster mama's care.

This chatty girl communicates mostly in soft trills and knows exactly what she likes: pâté soup (no chunks), warm heating vents, and a soft folded blanket over a cat bed. When she’s comfy, she’s a biscuit-making, purr-machine pro. Nellie enjoys being near her people and will follow you from room to room, happily cuddling once you’re settled—often ending up perfectly “baguetted” on the couch.

She has a playful side and loves wand toys, bunny kicks, treat hunting, and birdwatching from the window. She gets occasional zoomies but is overall calm and easygoing. Nellie is curious, friendly with visitors, and respectful in the home—she doesn’t jump high or knock things over. She’s clear about her boundaries, easy for nail trims, okay being picked up, and loves to snug.

Nellie would thrive as the only cat in a quiet, peaceful home where she can soak up all the attention and reign as the cherished queen she is.

Looking for a calm, loving companion past the kitten chaos? Apply to meet Nellie at her foster home today!
