We adopted Mr Sunshine (aka Sunny) on May 5. The Orange County FL Animal Shelter said he was about 10 weeks old. Now about 9 months. Being that we have raised a GSD twenty years ago and just lost out Golden of 16 years, we felt we could handle the training of a new pup. Frankly at age 75 and with some balance and other maladies, I am not able to control him now that he is much larger. We sent him the resident training with an organization called "Sit Meams Sit" and have followed up with group sessions but as Sunny gets larger he still wants to chase squirrels and other critters on our walks and has pulled me down. He is an energetic and affectionate dog. Loving and sweet. Loves the neighbor children and the adult humans as well. Although we have a fenced yard and have had numerous playdates with other large dogs (GSD, border collies, etc.) I still am not able to give him the quality stimulation and etc. that he truly needs. For the well-being of Sunny. he needs a new home.
