My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Taro is a beautiful female Calico kitten who was surrendered by her owner on September 11, 2025 with her three siblings (Hana, Kei, and Turbo) and their mother (Seiko) along with several other cats who had shared their home. Taro and her siblings were 8-weeks old when they entered our shelter.

Taro has a black/orange/white short smooth coat in a calico pattern, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable uniquely-marked face with golden eyes a black/pink nose, and extra-long white eyebrows and whiskers. The left side of Taro's face is orange and the right side is black which gives her an unforgettable appearance.

Taro was given vaccinations and Drontal wormer on September 16, 2025. She was given booster vaccines on October 7th and October 22nd 2025.

These photos of Taro were taken on October 15th while she scampered around the fall foliage/autumn props and looked for new adventures. Taro wasn't interested in posing for boring still-life photos .. She preferred action shots and made the most of her out-of-cage time.

Taro and her siblings were separated from their mother shortly after their arrival since they were fully weaned. The kittens were paired up so that they could provide comfort/playtime for each other. Taro and her sister Hana have shared a cage. Her sister (Kei) and her brother (Turbo) have been cagemates.

Taro will be spayed in the near future (tentatively in November 2025) and will soon be ready to find a loving home. Naturally we'd love to see her adopted with sister Hana.

Taro was spayed on November 3, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 4.06 lbs that day.

Taro was adopted on November 28, 2025.
