Cow Fish grew up as a community cat who was friendly with the neighbors (both children and adults). He was cared for the entire time by a kind community member who poured her love into him. He loves to play with anything and everything and enjoys a cozy place to snuggle. He has known his buddy Smitty Fish his whole life; they are likely half siblings. Cow Fish is calm and sweet with the softest fur you ever felt, and is searching for his indoor forever home after surviving two cold Michigan winters. He is a total sweetheart and very good boy.

Bringing Your New Kitty Home: What to Expect
Thank you for adopting and giving this kitty a second chance! Here’s what you need to know for a smooth transition:
🛏 Start Small
Set your cat up in one quiet room with a litter box, food, water, and a hiding spot (like a covered bed or cardboard box). Let them explore slowly and on their terms.
⏳ Give Time
Even the friendliest cats may be shy at first. Expect 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to settle in, and up to 3 months to fully adjust. Be patient—they're learning to trust!
It’s normal for cats to hide for the first 24–72 hours.
Adult cats, especially, may take even longer to feel safe. As long as they’re eating, drinking, and using the litter box, hiding is okay!
🍽 Feed & Hydrate
Keep food and water dishes in a quiet, accessible spot. Follow any diet info provided. Monitor eating, drinking, and litter box habits the first few days.
🚽 Litter Box Basics
Show them where the box is right away. Keep it clean and use unscented, clumping litter unless otherwise noted.
🐱 Interactions
Let your cat come to you. Avoid loud noises or too much handling early on. Use gentle voices and slow blinks to build trust.
🐕 Introducing to Other Pets?
Slow and steady wins the race! Keep your new kitty separated at first and take your time with introductions.
🧸 Playtime & Enrichment
Interactive toys, scratching posts, and window views help relieve stress and build confidence.
Email adoptions@savedbyzade.com Adoption fee is $150 for kittens and $100 for cats over 1 year old
